Makes sense.iMacs are awesome office machines.But 999$, is still more than, say 600 for a crappy Dell.That's the choice a lot of comapnies make ... instead of going for usability and comfort ...

Wow I'm suprised at that. You would have thought even for a big conference it wouldn't cost much... I'd personally like to see Apple invest more into the bussiness market. I've noticed how current iMac's come with iLife, so why not Bussiness Mac's that come bundled with iWork instead? Makes sense :) think of the reduction in cables and desk space.

Because it costs them a SHITLOAD of money, but only gives them little money back - through improved sales.It's not a form of advertising which is cost effective anymore for them. And Apple under Jobs never was a company that was afraid of changing things. That's what makes them stand out.
